V-Rooms Board Portal announced today that it has improved its security features, as well as joining both the UK’s and the Swiss’ Safe Harbor list. The Safe Harbor list is a voluntary association of companies and service providers that host personal data and who meet the joint criteria for security and confidentiality put forth by both the United States and the European Union’s Directive on Data Protection.
V-Rooms Board Portal’s password security options have also been improved. A board of directors now has the ability to customize their password requirements, such as password length and whether or not capitalization, special characters, or numbers are required in passwords. In addition, the board can also create custom rules for how often users can change their passwords and how many failed login attempts result in a lockout. “Security is our focus,” said Dan Bradbary, CEO of V-Rooms. “We’re excited about pushing out these new enhancements to allow our users to customize those security features.”
V-Rooms Board Portal already has a full suite of security features including full audit reports which track all file movement and file access by user; document watermarks which include the username, ip address, date, and time that a file was accessed; and permission based printing and saving controls.
“We believe that by achieving Safe Harbor status we will be able to better assist companies with operations in the United Kingdom, both for board portal and our secure document sharing platform,” said Karen Perkins, President of V-Rooms.
